Activate your account or update your password

Visit the IT Account Manager website to activate your IT account or change your password

The first step in registering as a student at The University of Manchester is setting up an IT account.

Activating your IT account creates a record for you as a student and ensures that you have access to all the relevant University systems. Once activated, you will be able to:

  • Access software, email and the internet from any network computer
  • Open up a library account
  • Start using Blackboard, our virtual learning environment.
