Downloadable software
The Electronic Software Delivery system (ESD) is an online service which lets you download software directly to your PC. Licence requirements for individual applications are explained on the ESD. Some software is free to download, while other applications are chargeable with an internal account code.
Sophos antivirus software is available to download for free for all students and is licenced for use on home PCs. Further information on antivirus software is available on the virus protection web page:
The ESD detects from the username whether the person logging in is a member of staff or a student and presents available software accordingly. The ESD can only be accessed from the University network or when using the VPN from off campus.
All software is downloaded from the ESD website.
Related license codes required to install the software are available from the IT Services website.
