ICT computer rooms and clusters
Our computer rooms, or clusters, contain free-to-use PCs available for students and staff. They are located across both campuses. Cluster PCs have collections of standard and subject-specific software installed and are connected to the student printing system.
PC clusters can be either central of faculty-specific. Central PC clusters can be used by anyone, whereas faculty-specific clusters are generally restricted to use by students of that faculty.
Many central and faculty PC clusters are bookable for teaching purposes.
PCs in clusters generally run the Windows 7 operating system but there are Apple Mac computers and Linux PCs available within the faculties.
Opening times vary but some PC clusters are open 24 hours a day.
