Video conferencing
Video conferencing provides a real-time, high definition video link between two or more participants at different locations. This allows participants located anywhere in the world to communicate via video link.
Media Services offers a free, supported video conferencing service to all staff and students. Outside of operational hours staff support is chargeable.
Four suites are available in the Humanities Bridgeford Street, Roscoe Building and Renold building giving effective coverage of the entire campus.

Microsoft Lync
For video calls between staff within the University of Manchester, consider using Lync from any desktop computer with a web camera attached.
Our video conferencing systems are only designed to connect with other video conferencing facilities. They are incompatible with web software systems such as Skype, MSN Messenger and G-Chat.
