Web portal
The web portal provides access to a University of Manchester branded website. The monthly fee includes:
- an administrator account to create an unlimited number of users for your department;
- single or bulk timed messages;
- message templates;
- email to SMS facility;
- inbound keyword or shortcode facility;
- two way messaging (optional) returning inbound texts to a web account or email address;
- alpha tag for outbound messages (see below for a description);
- simple import of existing contacts via csv, xls, txt file import;
- maintenance and regular software updates; and
- costs £5.00 per calendar month
Alpha tag
Also known as a 'Sender ID'. When a message arrives on a mobile phone the originating number is displayed, or the University, department or School may be displayed.

- £9.99 per month per user account
- £25 per month per keyword
- £5 per month per double barreled keyword
Inbound shared short code with a single keyword
- £25 per month per keyword
Inbound shared short code with double barrelled keyword
- £5 per month per double barreled keyword
