eMarketing

The Customer Relationship Management systems provide eMarketing functions to allowing targeted list of email addresses to be created based on the information stored in the system.

Records relating to individuals or organisations who have contacted a specific school within the University are stored and categorised along with filters on their interest in the University. This provides enough information to run targeted eMarketing campaigns to a specific audience.

For example, eMarketing campaigns are run by the Manchester Business School to contact previous attendees of programmes and inform them of new ones, which may be of interest.

The CRM system can provide statistics on the success of eMarketing campaigns. Successfully delivered and read emails, monitoring and information on subsequent registrations for programmes or events.

There are restrictions for staff who are authorised to access information contained within the CRM systems. There are also guidelines which govern how this information can be used.

Students cannot use these eMarketing facilities.
