Copilot

Microsoft's Copilot refers to a variety of Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered tools that help people in different contexts and are integrated into various Microsoft products to help with tasks ranging from web searches to productivity enhancements and customised business processes. The primary goal of Copilot is to boost productivity and creativity through AI capabilities.

Copilot is not yet an officially supported University service, however a pre-production trial is taking place across the University.

In addition, all staff can use Copilot on Bing.com. It is a powerful tool that you can use today to develop your skills, enabling you to make the most of any Copilot in the future. Remember to log in with your University account to ensure that your conversation is protected.

We have created a SharePoint site to support those involved in Copilot trials – ensuring you have access to valuable resources that will help you use the product more effectively.

The site includes a range of helpful content:

  • Frequently asked questions: Get answers to common queries about Copilot.
  • Training guides: Access comprehensive guides to enhance your understanding and usage of Copilot.
  • Handy prompts: Updated weekly with new tips and tricks. We encourage you to share your own insights!
  • M365 Copilot pre-production trial information: Stay informed about the ongoing trial and its developments.
  • Feedback form: Provide live feedback, both positive and negative, to help us determine the future of Copilot trials and potential broader rollouts.
