In-person IT support

Visit an IT support desk for face to face, practical advice. No appointment necessary.

Staff support

Face-to-face support is available on the ground floor of the Kilburn building.

The Kilburn Building support desk helps with all University supported IT services, for example:

  • IT account queries,
  • Connecting laptops, smartphones and tablets to email, eduroam Wi-Fi and Virtual Private Network (VPN),
  • Full support for University owned IT equipment.

Support for University services on personal equipment is on a best-endeavours basis.

Kilburn Building

  • Building 39 on the campus map
  • Follow the IT Support Centre signs on the ground floor
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Appointments are not necessary, however they can be requested in some circumstances

Student support

On site student IT support is available at the Main Library and Alan Gilbert Learning Commons.

The Library Digital Support team provide help for students with IT account queries, connecting laptops, smartphones and tablets to email, eduroam, Wi-Fi and Virtual Private Network (VPN), University licensed applications (including Microsoft Office 365), Library PC cluster support, Library digital services and general IT guidance. Support for personal equipment is available and includes advice on connecting to University services, licensed software setup, operating systems, general troubleshooting and virus removal.

Main Library

  • Building 55 on the campus map
  • Library Customer Services Desk, Ground floor, Blue area
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Alan Gilbert Learning Commons (AGLC)

  • Building 63 on the campus map
  • Customer Services desk is on the right, through the revolving doors
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Note: The AGLC re-opens after the Summer break from Monday 16 September.
