I work and study at the University, which portal should I use?
You will need to login to the portal that is relevant to your request or issue. Colleagues will be able to access the Student Portal from the Colleague Portal if needs be (to log a ticket on behalf of a student for example).
I can’t log in, can I log a ticket as a guest?
There isn’t a guest portal. If you need IT support and you cannot login please email the IT Support Centre:
Guest-ServiceDesk@manchester.ac.uk with details of your request or issue. Please be aware that you cannot use your University issued email address to email this mailbox. Colleagues can also report an incident or make a request on behalf of others, including students, or you can call the IT Support Centre on 0161 306 5544.
What is Connect?
Connect is our portal for colleagues and students to get support from our professional services colleagues. This innovative new platform, powered by ServiceNow, will improve how we deliver IT service management, customer service, and other functions across our University, for the benefit of colleagues and students. This is the first step in a series of changes to improve how our University community accesses services, gains knowledge and engages with professional services colleagues for partnership and support.
How to use Connect
The Connect portal is intuitive and easy to use. However, you may want to watch our short bitesize videos which are available below the Quick Links section of the homepage when you log in. These videos are also available on our Sharepoint site.
